Jackson, Wyo. - don't hate, bro, don't hate...

It was legit eating lunch with my man Austin...that's just one of the many perks of serving in St. Anthony, Idaho.

Well how about dat General Conference!? I must say, M. Russell Ballard's talk about follow up was awesome. Maybe I liked it so much because I'm a missionary and that was one of the only MAIN talk about missionary work. woo! And of course Jeffery R. Holland is a beast. He never disappoints.

Well our home boy Jose Gonzales got kicked out of his apartment! gah! It was kind of an interesting situation...yeah, this less active member actually owned it, but she kept raising and raising the prices until Jose couldn't afford it anymore. So we got a call saying he just needed a roof on his head so he didn't have to sleep on the streets. We called and called to find a place when finally the Kings (the super legit English family that doesn't speak ANY spanish) said they were happy to have him in their home until he finds a place. Man, the King family is so Celestialized haha. But for reals though, it was awesome that they helped out. He is still preparing for his baptism.

We did have an awesome lesson with him before all this craziness happened. We taught the word of wisdom and he committed to give up drinking right then and there. He knows its bad and he knows the things that we are teaching to him are good. He even told us he wants to be baptized sooner! but we had to tell him that we need to teach him the lessons first and make sure he's ready to go lol.

Jackson Wyoming...is suuuuper beautiful by the way. My companion and I did a blitz (which means my companion and I split off with a set of Elders to find more people and investigators). The Jackson Elders were having a tough time finding so we helped them out. One thing that is different about that place is...the people DO NOT LIKE  the missionaries lol. I tried to offer this one guy some help with something he was doing and the guy swore and cursed at me like a sailor. woohoo! At least there were no mashed potatoes thrown at me!

Be strong. Be true. Everyday lets remembers what kind of hero we want to be.

We have the whole Spanish branch for ourselves out here in St.Anthony...so we stay busy for
sure. We had 5 solid baptismal dates but two of them disappeared from off the face of the planet, one is on parole for a while, the other dropped us...but we have ONE who is willing to listen! His name is Jose Gonzales. yay. He has some word of wisdom issues, but he is super open with us. The King family actually invited him over to listen to our message. We have to
do a ton of translation because Jose doesn't speak a lick of English...and the Kings don't speak ANY Spanish lol. So the lessons are pretty crazy because we're all translating, but they're fun.

Madison's baptism went great. It was powerful...and it was great to see my second baptism in the mission!! Madison looked so happy, and she's got an awesome family support. How awesome is it that we actually have the priesthood authority on the earth again to teach, baptize, and seal families for eternity...and we have some Apostles and General Authorities about to throw down this week...I'm stoked!

Our mission president is assigning every Spanish companionship with English
wards to help out...soooo now we have an English ward we're going to be
working with along with the Spanish work, so that will be interesting.

I WAS going to put some pictures up today...but i forgot my camera lol, you know me with my forgetfulness...but Dad you should be proud of me because I keep my things clean and organized =D...i'm working on the remembering part

Oh, and we went to Island Park to do a companionship study with the Elders out there. Oh mwa goodness it's BEAUTIFUL out there. The Elders live in these little cabins right next to this sweet view of a lake. Aw man, the trials of our mission. i can hardly bear it.

Well I'm excited to work hard with Elder Cooley this week. We continue to have a blast out here in the legendary city of St. Anthony! Love ya guys!
