Incredible experience

Hello family and friends. So this past week my companion and I had an
incredible experience.

So once again we were knocking on some doors...we've been just trying to ask
EVERYBODY we know for some Spanish referrals in our little 2 by 2. As we
were walking down the street, we noticed a little Hispanic kid running into
her house. Well... we tried knocking on that little girls door, hoping to
find a Hispanic family in there. well it turned out the family was NOT
Hispanic. The little kid just looked Hispanic (maybe i need to get new
prescriptions? lol). So anyways, it was a member family...We asked them for
some spanish speaking referrals, but they didn't really know any. Sooooo the
member family told us to ask this other member family for some Spanish
referrals! SO that's what we did.

We go and knock on this family's house, but of course they didn't know ANY
Spanish speakers either haha. but we started talking with them and joined
them in their family scripture reading. We had a really good time with them
and they opened up to us. The mother of that family said, "There's this one
lady in our ward who might need a blessing...maybe you can go over and give
her a visit. She would really appreciate it." Soooo that's what we did. We
walked over to her house, and knocked on the door. The lady answered and
said that she was really in need of a blessing, but she didn't tell anybody
about it. She explained to us that as soon as she was thinking about who to
call and who could could give her a blessing, there we were... knocking on
her door. I was able to give her a blessing, and it was just a very special
experience. All that happened because we  thought we saw a little Spanish
kid running into her house.

Even though my companion and I have been struggling to find Spanish people
to teach, we've been having some cool experiences like that. On that same
day we were trying to get a hold of a bishop from this certain English ward.
Knocked on his door..wasn't home. Just as we were walking away we see him
driving up to his drive way. He got out of the car and said "Hm, I had a
feeling that i just needed to be home. I was visiting some members and
thought I should come home real quick." We explained to him that we are in
NEED of finding people to teach. Well, turns out his grandpa is the
patriarch over ALL the Spanish people all over Idaho Falls and the area we
cover. So his grandpa knows a metric butt load of Hispanics and has been
responsible for many Spanish convert baptisms! He knows some in our area as
well!!! oh my gosh that was the greatest news I've ever heard.
So...hopefully this upcoming week we'll be able to talk to him and get the
working moving in the area. I'm really excited about that.

Well I thought I would share that with you guys. Thanks for the update on
what's happening back home!! that flood sounds pretty crazy. Yeah, it's
still freezing cold up here in Idaho. i hate the cold. but that's okay...you
know what they say...Any weather is good missionary weather! wahoo! Well i
gotta go! Love ya guys!!!!
